…soLOW was a clever title for a piece that inhabited a world of lingering loneliness, quietude, tenderness, and self-reflection. The solo felt more like a duet between Burright and a leather cushioned chair which Burright skillfully manipulated through movement-play and exploration. The work offered a glimpse into a personal world that was beautiful and subtle.”
This work was created out of the pain, discomfort, creative block, dreams, waiting, hopelessness, desires and aspirations that came from the past couple of years.
“soLOW'“ premiered at LA Dance Project during Mashup Dance Companies International Women’s Day Festival. It has since been performed in the Palm Desert Choreography Festival (McCallum Theatre, 2024), San Jose Dance Companies Spring Festival, as a guest artist in Megill & Companies show, in Nordhoff High Schools alumni fundraising show and at STEPS, NYC and OPENDOORS North America.
