Oddities is centered around six women navigating a shifting landscape of memory, inheritance, femininity, and collective experience. Moving between intimacy, absurdity, strength, and play, the work creates a cinematic world in which familiar objects and gestures continually take on new meaning. At the center of the work is an exploration of the female compulsion to create and carry, an inheritance through which women have moved people, memory, and culture across generations.

“They smear their lipstick, freshly applied, as if wiping a stout from a beard, one of many gestures in a larger conversation on womanhood that is seated at every corner of the work. The tapestry of movement builds and settles back down into a refreshingly cinematic end as the dancers captain a rocking ship built of chairs, bodies melting eternally off the sides like waves.”
